RSL stumble at home for disappointing draw
Fans, coaches, and players alike experienced a number of surprises Saturday night as Real Salt Lake stumbled to a 1-1 draw with Chivas USA. RSL captain Kyle Beckerman made his return to action after nine weeks out with a foot injury. A wonder strike from defensive midfield substitute Ned Grabavoy blasted RSL into a deserved 1-0 lead, but Chivas substitute Jesus Padilla answered with a powerful shot that keeper Nick Rimando was unable to control.
